Job title: Senior Project Assurance Consultant

We are currently looking to recruit Senior Project Assurance Consultants to provide project assurance and technical support to key accounts in onshore and offshore wind and other renewable technologies. PMSS are a leading provider of technical advice to the Renewable Energy industry and our Project Assurance service offers our clients, who are generally taken from the top echelon of the industry, the key information and review of their activities in order to add significant value to their projects.
These will be key roles in the Project Assurance team reporting to the Director responsible for the function. The successful applicant will be involved in leading commissions, mainly focused around due diligence, project review and technical advisory roles for the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects. PMSS is engaged in key technical and commercial areas of the industry, primarily focused on Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind and Wave and Tidal Generation technologies. These roles, primarily based around client locations in Northern Europe, will likely involve projects distributed around the Globe.
The Senior Consultants need high levels of technical knowledge around Renewable Energy Projects, and expertise in the field of Project Management, in order to allow the assessment of our Clients projects. They will also possess a high level of commercial awareness to support the Project Assurance Team, and other teams within PMSS, in the execution of projects as well as business development of current PMSS accounts and new opportunities.
Although a thorough understanding of Project Management within the renewable energy industry would be advantageous, we also welcome applications from individuals who feel that they have transferable experience and skills from other fields.
Key attributes
Essential
Extensive experience working at a senior level in Renewable Energy or other Power or Construction related industries, thorough industry commercial awareness and exemplary business viability decision making processes
5+ years senior project management or assurance experience
Experience of managing a broad range of both internal & external team members in the collation of information, and integration of this into a coherent and concise form for communication to our clients
Ability to work with Clients to demanding deadlines, delivering focused advice on a tight timescale
Excellent organisational, project management, report writing and presentation skills
Advantageous
Chartered MCIOB / MAPM / MRICS/ MICE/ MIMechE or equivalent
Experience in a commercial renewable energies environment in M&A or other transactional basis
In depth understanding of one or aspects of the renewable energy industry and its technologies and markets
Proven track record within a consultancy environment
